Ada turned 2 at the end of July! We had her party at Paschal Park next to our pool. The girls had fun putting their feet in the cool stream. It was in the upper 90's with a heat index of over 100 degrees, so the water felt really good. We had a cook out lunch before presents and cake with our families. After the festivities we took a short hike to the cave at the back of the park. The air coming out of it felt like air conditioning! After our hike, we went to the pool. After naps, Leah, Brian, and Isaac came over to our house for a visit.
Josephine and Ada in the stream.
I made butterfly cakes for Ada's party. Not nearly as complicated as the dragon that Josephine requests, but I thought they were cute.
Ada was sleepy before her party even started.
Grannie Ratch with Suzannah.
Ada after her cake. The singing and presents are on video so no pictures of that. :(
On our way to the cave. Naomi and Josephine are up ahead.

Naomi and Josephine at the mouth of the cave.
Granna with Suzannah.
Climbing up to the cave.
Ada stayed down at the bottom. That's all we needed was for Ada to fall into a cave on her birthday. (And she would have fallen!)
Suzannah enjoying the hike -- infant style.
Ada and Isaac played with the ball.
Ada must have fallen.
Aunt Leah holding Suzannah and talking to Isaac.
Happy Birthday, Ada!!
