Ada smiling for a Valentine's Day picture.
We have a pretty low-key Valentine's Day this year. Our church has a breakfast for all the women every year so we went to that. Ada stayed with Nathan in the nursery the whole time and Josephine ate with me for about half the time. I think everyone enjoyed themselves.
We had a baby shower for Aunt Leah this past weekend. I think we had over 40 people there!
Leah showing off some new bibs.
Ada and Maeve having a staredown at the shower. They aren't quite old enough to play together yet, so all they can do is stare. :)
I have been bad about taking pictures lately, so I don't have many to share. We're either at home doing our same-old thing or, when we're out, it's too much to take care of both girls and the camera all at the same time.
We've been to the zoo a couple times on the nicer days. Josephine is obsessed with the rhino's for some reason. I think it has something to do with the huge binocular thing that you have to pay 25-cents to use. She's never used it, she doesn't even know what it is, she just likes to stand on it and pretend to read the words in the instructions. I'm looking forward to warmer weather and I can take the girls more often. Ada stays in her carseat at the zoo because she usually takes a nap at some point.
Josephine has finally eaten some vegetables this weekend. I think it's been at least 2 weeks since she's refused to eat any. She saw some baby food green beans on the counter (left over from when she was a baby) and decided that she wanted some. I figured it was better than nothing at all, so I let her have them. I'm hoping she'll choose to eat some cucumbers or corn this week, but I'm not holding my breath. Up until Friday, she hasn't been allowed to watch any tv or play any Wii or have any sweets because she won't eat her vegetables. So stubborn. She'd rather stand her ground than eat food (food that she likes, I might add) and get "fun" stuff along with it. I'm sure the saga will continue in the next post . . . .
Ada is as happy as ever. She's gotten better at eating cereal this past week. She's eaten tiny pieces of bread, too. I'll probably make her some other baby foods in the next week or two to see what she thinks of those.
A couple of times, Ada has not-so-gracefully gone from sitting up to laying on her stomach. She still loves playing with her toys and does what she can to reach them. She's still not rolling from her back to stomach or crawling yet. Although, she showed some beginning stages of crawling the other day. She was laying on her stomach and started kicking at stretching at the same time, trying to move somewhere. It won't be long.
I'll try to do better about taking pictures the next couple weeks so I'll have more to share.

Sounds like the shower was a hit! Wish I could have made it up there, thanks for the invite BTW. I am still working on Leah's gift :)
Hope to see you all soon! Maybe in April sometime. We have guests all through March.
