Josephine pooped in her potty for the first time this afternoon. It may be an isolated incident, but I'm still proud. She kept saying "poop" even though he diaper was clean so I asked her if she wanted to poop in her potty. She looked at her "Goodnight Gorilla" book while she sat on her potty and did her business. I was going to wait until October (after our out-of-town marathon) to start toilet training. It's looking like I'm not going to have much say in the "when". : )

Josephine gets National Geographic Kids magazine every month. She's obsessed with them right now. It's so funny to hear her say "magazine". She says it pretty well. It's for older kids, but she loves to look at the pictures of the animals. She ignores most of her toys these days. She only wants to look at her books.
Josephine using her panda bear as a backrest. This is where you'll find her most of the day -- next to her bookshelf reading books.
Four eye teeth are coming in at the same time. It's been well over a week since she started teething, but none of them have cut through yet. She has a slight temperature most days and is tired all the time. It's changed her sleeping patterns too. She likes to go to sleep at 8pm now instead of 9pm. Consequently, she wakes up at first light now. Luckily, she's happy to play in her crib by herself until I come to get her. If I'm sleeping soundly, it could be awhile before her talking wakes me up.
Josephine in the late afternoon. She gets so worn out. Kind of pitiful, isn't it?
Arts and crafts are one of the few things that will tear her away from her books for a few minutes. She used glue for the first time this morning. She glued pieces of felt to a piece of paper. These are some of the things she made this morning after breakfast.
Jo glued pieces of felt to the paper and also finger painted.
Politeness is a quality we have been working on lately. Josephine is very good at saying "please" and "thank you". She may be spoiled, but at least she's polite about it. : ) I need to get video or audio of her saying "thank you, mama". It's the sweetest thank you I've ever heard. Not that I'm biased or anything. . . . : )
This is the last week for the pool. I have some video from last week that I haven't uploaded from the camera yet. I'll put up swimming video soon. She's so good at it. She has no fear, but still listens to Nathan and me when we tell her to stop before she gets in the water, if need be.
Until next time . . . .
