Our church had a barn dance at the farm last weekend. Josephine had a good time talking to everyone and dancing : )
Today is Josephine's Four Month Birthday!!! Yea, baby!
Josephine Update:
- Josephine rolled over by herself on Monday! Nathan and I were sitting on the couches while Josephine was playing on the floor on her stomach. All of sudden "plop"! I didn't even realize she was trying to do it. It scared her and she cried. She hasn't done it since. : )
- She's gotten really good at grabbing toys and bringing them to her mouth to chew on. Her favorite right now is a purple teething ring. We call it the purple slurple. Don't ask why.
- She's going through a screaming phase. Not much fun. She's not letting me rock her to sleep much. I have to lay her down on the floor and give her a loud toy to get her to stop crying. I finally realized that if I lay her on her belly with her passy, she'll go to sleep. She took two naps on the floor yesterday and she went to sleep on her own in her bed this morning (as long as I assisted in putting the passy back in her mouth every couple minutes.) We'll see if it lasts or not.
- She's still working on sitting up. She'll fall over to one side or the other if we aren't watching her closely, but she's getting there.
- She can move around in circles when playing on her stomach. She'll move around counter-clockwise on her blanket, especially if there's something that she wants next to her. She even managed to move forward one night trying to get to Nathan's keyboard, which she loves (good clicking sounds I guess). Nathan is going to bring a keyboard home from work that she call play/drool on. That will make for good pictures.
- She's doing better about letting other people hold her. Not great, but doing better. Nathan is still her favorite person.
