It's been a long time since the last post. Sorry. I've started a full-time job which leaves little to no time to blog. Here are some pictures and videos from the past couple months.
Josephine typed in my phone number onto the calculator. We were very proud of her.
Josephine put the pig behind Ada while she was sitting on the floor.
Ada's Birthday Party
(Blogger never puts the pictures in order, so it skips around a bit.)
Ada "playing" with Isaac after opening her presents. It almost looks like she's telling him, "You must bow to me -- it's my birthday!"
Ada opening her presents. Help provided by Jo, Naomi, and Audrey.
Ada eating her first cake.
More messiness.
Isaac and Ada. Yeah, they're 9 months apart . . . .
There's a video at the end of the pictures of Ada's party.
We have resurrected the Jeep and the girls love it!
Josephine in her sunglasses in the Jeep.
Ada and Jo in the Jeep.
Ada sticking out her tongue.
Pretty girl. You can kinda see her two bottom teeth in this picture.
Ada on her actual birthday. She loves the snowglobe that Papaw brought Jo back from Nashville.
Elizabeth and Josephine at the pool.
Elizabeth and Ada at the pool.
More of the same.
Ada sitting in the barber's chair where Nathan gets his hair cut. No, Ada didn't get her hair cut, but she enjoyed the chair.
I came home from work one night to this -- Ada on her 4th helping of mashed potatoes.
Ada is on her way to walking these days. She's finally pulling up to her feet and walking around the couch and tables. Other people have told me that she has stood unassisted, but I haven't seen it yet. Nathan said that she took two steps the other day before going face-first into the coffee table. I didn't see that either. She gets better and better each day.
She's still not talking very much, but she has learned the sign for "more". Of course, it usually means "feed me again". She's very proud of herself when she does that. She claps for herself. I think she has a name for Josephine -- "BahBah". JoJo, BahBah, close enough, right? It really does seem that that's her name for Jo. Every once in awhile she'll say "mama" or "dada", but not consistently.
Josephine is on an I-will-only-eat-cheese-or-Nilla-Wafers kick right now. She will only snack, she won't eat an actual meal. Actually, she'll eat a meal if it involves chicken nuggets, but that's it. She's so stubborn that she'd rather go hungry than eat something she doesn't want to.
This is a rare occurrence that Ada has woken up in the middle of the night (well, 11:30pm anyway) and is crying . . . so much for more time to blog.
