Why is it that . . .

I've been trying to get pictures of Josephine smiling, but it's very hard to hold and baby and get her picture at the same time. I finally got a couple. Here's one from the other day.

Why is it that...

• once you have a baby, you never refer to yourself in the first person again?
• mom and dad become invisible once the baby enters the room? : )
• no matter how adimate (sp?) you are about not filling the room with toys, the room still fills up with toys?
• you have a room full of toys, but the only thing the baby wants it to look at the ceiling fan?

Josephine Update:

• Josephine is starting to rub her eyes with her hands now. She still hasn't "found" her hands yet, but she's working on it.
• She's sleeping usually 4-5 hours at a time at night now. We're working on taking good naps during the day so she won't be so cranky.
• She does well at school (my work) and the kids love her.
• She's getting over her mommy-itis for the most part.
• She can stand on the floor if you hold her hands to keep her balanced. We haven't tried taking steps yet : )
